WAVELET MULTI-SCALE EDGE DETECTION FOR EXTRACTION OF GEOGRAPHIC FEATURES TO IMPROVE VECTOR MAP DATABASES
Focus of this paper is on the use of image processing techniques in detecting edges in high-resolution satellite imagery. It presents a robust detection algorithm, known as the Wavelet Multi-scale Edge Detector, that can perform well in noisy conditions. The authors note that a new method for storing the edges geographically will be proposed once edges are located.
