GAMES PLAN : SYDNEY'S TRAFFIC OLYMPICS
This article discusses efforts by the organizers of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney to prepare for anticipated traffic problems. It describes how a traffic management center will be able to assist in the congestion mitigation process. The author goes over the strategy that will be implemented, and discusses how a model will be used to analyze and predict travel patterns by game attendees.
