TIME TO ELECTRIFY MORE PAINT : VERSATILE READ/WRITE TAGS MAY OFFER ITS ADVANCES
This article discusses the concept of using radiofrequency identification tags on vehicles as a form of dedicated short range communications (DSRC). In addition to the most visible use of tags in automated toll collection, other applications are discussed including: vehicle registration compliance, safety assurance, speed control, and emissions control.
