ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE IN SHIP INSTALLATIONS DETERMINED BY MEASUREMENTS

The paper presents results from EMI-measurements onboard a highly automated tanker in the size of 162,000 D.W. Results are given concerning levels of stationary and transient EMI measured in the installation with special attention to computers, bridge instruments and equipment connected to the alarm/safety systems for the machinery plant as well as condition monitoring of the main engine. Signal leads as well as power cables have been subject to measurements.
