DELPHI SECURED MICROCONTROLLER ARCHITECTURE
This paper presents an architecture intended for application in stand-alone fail-safe systems. It describes how embedded controllers will increase fault coverage and allow the electronic controller unit to determine its own health status. This in turn will simplify system implementation, communication, and fault response. The paper provides detailed information on the architecture involving the ECU microcontroller unit (MCU), the central processing unit (CPU), and a dual CPU.
