RELIABILITY PREDICTION OF FAULT TOLERANT AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS
This paper presents a methodology for calculating the probability of a failure in a redundant system in a specified time interval after the occurrence of a first fault. Four different redundant system configurations of a safety relevant automotive control system are described and their reliability characteristics are compared.
