SIGNS HELP STRANDED DRIVERS ID LOCATION

This article contains information about a new motorist aid system available for drivers in Tennessee. Signposts containing information useful to a new Highway Incident Management Program have been placed along stretches of heavily traveled areas of highways. The program involves "rescue" trucks that are able to deal with wrecked or stalled vehicles. In addition, the trucks carry jumper cables, fire extinguishers, and cell phones to aid stranded motorists.
