NEW ANCHOR ARRANGEMENT
A new anchor arrangement whereby the anchors are placed on deck, easily accessible for securing, cleaning, maintenance, and inspection is described. At the upper part of the recess in the new anchor there is a cast fairlead, against which the anchors are stowed and where twin washing-down nozzles are fitted. The recess terminates in a chain both when at anchor and with the anchors stowed. The stopper is designed to withstand the braking load of the chain. The chain stopper is normally operated hydraulically, but is also provided with a mechanical securing arrangement.
