UK CONTRAM TRANSPORT FORUM, CONTRAM 8 LAUNCH DAY, 7TH NOVEMBER 2000, TRL, CROWTHORNE
CONTRAM is a traffic assignment model for use in the design of traffic management schemes. The latest version - CONTRAM 8 incorporates intelligent traffic management features. The following presentations were given at the launch: (1) ITS features in CONTRAM 8 (Taylor,N - TRL Limited, White,C - Mott MacDonald); (2) Application of CONTRAM ITS in Stockholm (Davidsson,F - Transport Research Institute, Sweden); (3) Motorway On-Line Assistant (MOLA) - future development with CONTRAM 8 (Harwood,N - TRL Limited); (4) SATURN to CONTRAM and CONTRAM to SATURN automatic translation: an abbreviated report on the design of the software (Yanling Xiang and Smith, M - York Univ, UK); (5) Evaluation of macro- and mesoscopic models for congestion impact analysis (Merritt,E and Bang, KL - Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, Sweden); (6) Matrix estimation in CONTRAM 8 (Gordon, A - Mott MacDonald; and (7) Transport User Benefit Appraisal (TUBA) softare: matrix-based economic appraisal (Gray,P - DETR, UK).
