DEVELOPMENT OF ITS-BASED INVESTIGATION FOR THE RHODE ISLAND TRAC PROGRAM
This report provides information regarding an educational activity that was developed for students to allow them to understand how Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)-based investigations are handled. It describes a project which examined the use of variable message signs, analyzing the different levels of diversion and determining their effectiveness in deploying traffic diversion strategies.
