GOING TRANS-EUROPEAN: PLANNING AND FINANCING TRANSPORT NETWORKS FOR EUROPE

European transport infrastructure policy is focused on the realisation of trans-European transport networks (TENs). The TENs are usually identified as major infrastructures facilitating the movement of people and goods across the European Union. This is a vague concept that needs fine-tuning because it has never been properly defined in Community law. The aim of this book is to present a view on how this could be done and on the actions that could be taken to foster the European component in the future development of transport infrastructure.
