MODELLING OF ITS APPLICATIONS : TEST OF FOUR DYNAMIC MODELS
This report describes a study in which four dynamic models were tested. The models, which have characteristics that make them suitable for studying Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications, include: CORSIM, AIMSUN2, INTEGRATION and CONTRAM-I. The following applications were studied: traffic control, trip planning, navigation and guidance, automatic debiting, and cruise control. The report concludes with an analysis and comparison of the models. The models were compared for the following features: general modeling philosophy, network coding and input data, user interface calibration procedure, performance of traffic modeling, and capabilities to model ITS.
