TRACKING ALONG THE TRANSPORT CHAIN VIA THE SHIPPER SURVEY. IN: TRANSPORT SURVEY QUALITY AND INNOVATION
The chapter's focus is on the ability of shipper surveys to track shipments along the successive steps of the transport chain, up to the final destination. These surveys incorporate two major components: the tracing of a selection of shipments from their departure from the plant up to their arrival to consignee; and the description of the main organizational features of the shipper's plants influencing transport characteristics.
