RESEARCH INTO RAIL SIDE WEARING ON CURVES
This article presents an analysis of the factors influencing rail side wearing intensity on curves. The factors are categorized as being uncontrolled, partially controlled, and controlled. Results from experiments investigating dynamic changes in rail wearing and rail track geometrical parameters on 19 railroad line curves in Lithuania are presented. Additional results from experiments examining gauge influence on rail side wearing on curves are also presented.
