EFFICIENCY ESTIMATION OF TRANSPORT COMPANIES' ACTIVITY

This paper analyzes the topical problem of the improvement of activity planning for transport companies. The object is to provide new methods to measure companies' efficiency and to improve the quality of activity planning. A key element in the problem is forming the estimation index system. A new method is proposed which uses image identification theory. This allows objective estimates if transport companies' efficiency levels. To achieve these estimates requires a whole system of indexes, to get a better picture if the companies' technical-economic levels of efficiency. The new method allows consideration of an indefinite number of objects reflecting tens and hundreds of activity indexes. The result is much more objective measurements and clearer guides to improving the quality of activity planning.
