THE MODELLING OF FACTORS DETERMINING THE GOODS AND TRAFFIC FLOWS MOVEMENT IN A LOGISTICAL SYSTEM
This research models the factors affecting the transport of goods along logistical channels across different geopolitical units in the Baltic states. Focus is placed on logistical channels' formation under certain theoretical assumptions. The model defines factors that influence goods flows from the geopolitical point of view. A logistical channel is defined by its technological, economic, and legal characteristics, as well as its length. The states are to use the model to evaluate their channels and use it to optimize them. That way, investments will reflect conditions not just along the lines of freight movement, but take into account geopolitical conditions.
