MOBILEPARKING AND THE TRANSFORMATION OF TRANSIENT PARKING IN BALTIMORE
This article describes how Baltimore was the first city to implement MobileParking's Operator Assisted Reservation (OAR) Service, the only real-time locator and reservation service for transient parking customers in the U.S. The service allows patrons to instantly locate, price, and reserve the closest available parking space at any parking facility in the city. The article describes the implementation efforts involved in making the service operational and the steps involved the parking process. It also discusses the benefits that were achieved from the service, with focus on a reduction in congestion and an increase in security.
