In recent years techniques for controlling traffic by means of traffic lights have become more sophisticated. Developments of computerized languages formulating the control strategy were inevitable. This article deals with the type of control system, the variables, an algorithm, the language elements, the cyclic system and event system. A simple example is given. /TRRL/
