AN INTEGRATED MODEL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL AND TRAFFIC ASSIGNMENT
This paper presents an integrated model for the dynamic traffic control problem and the dynamic traffic assignment problem. The objective of the integrated control-assignment problem is to find a mutually consistent dynamic system-optimal signal setting and dynamic user-optimal traffic flow. The integrated control-assignment problems are classified as follows using game theory: a one-level Cournot game, a bi-level Stackelberg game and a Monopoly game. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the equilibria of the games.
