TOWARDS TO THE REALIZATION OF THE ADVANCED CRUISE-ASSIST HIGHWAY SYSTEM SERVICE WITH ADVANCED CRUISE-ASSIST SUPPORT INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
The Advanced Cruise-Assist Highway System Research Association (AHSRA) was founded in 1996, and Japanese Advanced Cruise-Assist Highway System (AHS) research projects were started accordingly. In the project, principal user services for safety have been defined. This paper gives a brief discussion of experimental results of a computer simulation for the function of an information technology based roadside facility in the AHS. Results for the combination of the principal user services for safety, showed the function studied here provided safe road conditions for drivers.
