REDUCING THE STRESS STATE OF THE RAILWAY
The Transportation Technology Center Inc (TTCI) is accelerating the development and deployment of wayside defect detection and condition monitoring system. Wayside technologies under evaluation and development include wheel profile monitoring, cracked wheel and axle detection, and hunting detection, while those that have been deployed include bogie curving performance monitoring, wheel impact load detection, hot bearing detection, and acoustic-based bearing defect detection.
