TSA ADMINISTERS GRANTS FOR PORT SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS
The Maritime Security Administration Act provides special funds to implement many of the security measures that are required by the Act. Two grant categories are identified in the legislation: security assessments and mitigation strategies, and enhanced facility and operational security. This article reviews the guidelines on eligible applicants in each grant category that were imposed by the legislation. Also examined is the three level review process provided in the legislation.
