LESSONS FOR EUROPE FROM FREIGHT DEREGULATION IN AUSTRALIA, THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. IN: TRANSPORT LOGISTICS
The paper examines the experiences of three countries that have deregulated their freight markets in some manner to determine what the European freight market can expect. United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States were chosen for examination because the deregulation in those countries has been well documented in official reports, journal articles and conference papers making it possible to make comparisons and to draw meaningful comparisons.
