LOGISTICAL RESTRUCTURING AND ROAD FREIGHT TRAFFIC GROWTH: AN EMPIRICAL ASSESSMENT. IN: TRANSPORT LOGISTICS
This paper reports the results of a research project that aimed to improve understanding of the process of freight traffic growth and then provide a means of testing the validity of current freight traffic forecasts. The research examined the ways in which demand for road freight transport is affected by changes in the systems of production and distribution at both strategic and operational levels.
