WEST RAIL OPENS NEXT MONTH
The largest current civil engineering project in Hong Kong, the West Rail commuter line, is due to open next month, more than two months ahead of the original target date, and well under budget. The article reviews the details of the service that will be provided when the line opens for service, as well as the light rail integration scheme and the separation of light rail tracks from road traffic at some of the major junctions in Tuen Mun. The construction of East Rail line is also discussed.
