ANALYSIS OF COLLISION BETWEEN PEDESTRIAN AND SMALL CAR
This paper deals with an application of a computer simulation tool in engineering design and traffic safety. The subject of the research was a collision of a pedestrian and a passenger car. The target of the study was to develop a mathematical model enabling analysis of the collision and, if applicable, to create a tool for the design of bonnet modifications leading to a more pedestrian friendly structure. The research approach used a combination of experimental and mathematical methods. The created mathematical model was experimentally validated. Mathematical models were developed in MADYMO environment. (A)
