Amendments to IRC:78-2000 'Standard specifications and code of practice for road bridges, section VII, foundations and substructure (second revision)' are presented next to the clauses that they replace. They relate to ultimate bearing capacity, arch bridges, soils, boundary strata, load tests, load testing of piles, longitudinal reinforcements, guidelines for calculating the silt factor for bed material, and pile capacity in rock.
