URBAN FIELDS
This book deals with the uneven growth of transport systems and the resultant uneven traffic flows and congestion in urban areas. Differential geometry is used to create a framework for the structural analysis of cities and transportation systems in terms of the organisation of space in urban regions. The book is presented in two parts. Part 1 covers the geometry of movement for urban areas and the application of this geometry in regional planning. Part 2 contains a number of articles closely related to this work. /TRRL/
