RWIS: WEATHERING THE STORM

This article focuses on Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS). It first gives an overview of RWIS sensor technology, noting that remote weather sensors have been around since the 1930s. The article next discusses how state Departments of Transportation (DOTs) are utilizing RWIS technology.
