In this article, the author briefly looks at the current arrangements for standards in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and how ITS (U.K.) is trying to define its role in the IS standards debate. The author discusses ITS standards organizations, standards development, and what can be achieved from the use of standards.
