A STUDY OF REAL-TIME AND AUTONOMOUS DECENTRALIZED DSRC SYSTEM FOR INTER-VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS
This paper describes and evaluates the performance of a PHY (PHYsical) layer of the Real-time and Autonomous Decentralized Dedicated Short RAnge Communications (RAD-DSRC) system for vehicle to vehicle communications. The paper also evaluates the performance of a Media Access Control (MAC) layer with the Packet Loss (PL) performance of a Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA). It is shown that spread spectrum technology can be used to improve the PL for the CSMA.
