PROPER LIGHTING : UPDATED CHART HELPS TRUCKING INDUSTRY UNDERSTAND ILLUMINATING REQUIREMENTS

To help clear up confusion about the federal requirements for lights and reflectors for commercial trucks and transportation equipment, the U.S. Federal Lighting Chart has been updated. Lamps and reflectors are now shown as separate items after the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) discovered that many users were not reading the tables, notes or standards. This way of presenting the information helps avoid installing lamps without reflectors. A lamp and a reflex reflector may be used together as long as each meets the requirements. Lamp locations are also somewhat flexible. The new wall chart for lighting components is part of the new NTEA U.S. Federal Lighting Guide Kit
