AUTOMOBILE INTELLIGENCE

Automobile manufacturers and road safety officials have been working together to create an intelligent vehicle that can communicate with other vehicles, with the road infrastructure, and traffic controllers. The paper reviews the work of the European Union Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) growing range of applications that are revolutionizing road safety concepts.
