THE STUDY OF LONGITUDINAL SHRINKAGE IN BUTT WELD JOINT AND WELD BEND. IN: MARINE TECHNOLOGY V
Rosenthal's bidimentional heat flow theory was used as the basis for the principle of heat transfer theory. By proposing the physical terms of the model and favorite presumption, the paper produces a model that simulates the thermoelastoplastic flat bar near the weld line, and full-elastic area beyond the weld line is simulated with full elastic springs. The related equations are solved. The paper concludes that the final conclusion is a relation that can be used for calculating the amount of longitudinal shrinkage with acceptable accuracy.
