OREIS ACCESS: EMERGENCY MAPPING SYSTEM FOR FIRST RESPONDERS AND RAILROAD MANAGERS
Operation Response is developing and displaying a GIS software program in cooperation with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The program alerts emergency responders and railroad management to the physical location of a train that has been involved in an incident. The rail system landmark references are essential to timely emergency response, to avoid confusion over the exact location of train or incident.
