SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT: TECHNICAL CHOICE OF DIFFERENT SYSTEMS
This paper details the various weaknesses and strengths of different traction systems such as ICE, trolley bus, electric, and hybrid. Total cost, availability, flexibility, and energy consumption are considered for each transport type. In particular, this work takes into account the Transport Operator Company perspective in consideration of stakeholder and customer concerns and suggestions. Clear methodology within the quality system is shown to allow for a robust feedback on the procedures.
