ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS ON SOILS FROM TRANSPORT SYSTEMS IN VARIOUS CITIES IN LITHUANIA
This work investigates the environmental impact of the transport system (highway and rail sectors) in Lithuania on topsoil. The primary goals were to study pollution effects caused by transport fuels and by-products. Samples of topsoil were collected from around Lithuania and analyzed for contaminants including heavy metals. Findings are presented and discussed.
