STATE OF THE ART IN HIGHWAY TRAFFIC BARRIERS
A general overview of current practices with regard to highway traffic barriers is presented. Criteria used to establish both barrier need and the strength and safety characteristics of a barrier are presented and discussed. Problems in evaluating current traffic barriers with regard to their impact performance are discussed. Examples of operational traffic barries are presented.
