SPINAL CORD INJURY-EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
In recent years laboratory and clinical experience have shown the importance of early definitive treatment for acute spinal cord injuries; emphasis has been on the first minutes and hours following traumatic injury. There is a need for standardized training of EMTs and refinement of EMS systems which includes regionalization of this critical care component.
