ICE NAVIGATION SIMULATION: MAIN SIMULATOR PLATFORM (MSP)
This report describes the Ice Navigation Main Simulator Platform (MSP), a low cost personal computer based simulator for training entry-level ice navigators. It contains a description of the general architecture of the MSP, its hardware, software (including data preparation, operation, data flow and control, and run time), and the server used for network interfacing with MSP clients. Typical operational use of the simulator is illustrated with sample screen displays.
