METHODS AND MODELS ANALYZING TRANSALPINE FREIGHT TRANSPORT: AN OVERVIEW. IN: NEW CONTRIBUTIONS TO TRANSPORTATION ANALYSIS IN EUROPE
This paper aims to offer a specific contribution to the general issues of search of evaluation indicators and assessment methods for the complementary and competing trans European networks, by investigating recent studies, analyses and models which have been conducted in the context of the Transalpine freight transport flows. From a methodological viewpoint, this paper presents a structural organization of objectives, typologies of studies, methods of analysis, models and typologies of related data. The report intends to show the correlation between given typologies of data and given typologies of studies which been applied thus far. The final step of the analysis is oriented towards the identification of a structural review of objectives, typologies of studies, methods of analysis, models and typologies of related data in the Transalpine freight transport network.
