INFORMATION OVERLOAD? : IN-CAR INTERNET ON THE INTERSTATE
In this article, the author studies the need for examining the human factors aspects of in-vehicle information and communication systems before the human-machine interface leads to negative safety consequences. The value of solid human factors research and design standards is highlighted and promoted as a way towards having the benefits of in-vehicle information and communications outweigh the disadvantages.
