ITS, MONEY WELL SPENT? : A TAXPAYER'S PERSPECTIVE

In this article, the author examines the costs and benefits of implementing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The author discusses budget figures along with additional expenses incurred, the extent of the expenditures in terms of validity and issues regarding the rate of return and consistency. The article concludes with a discussion regarding the actual benefits of applying ITS and how ITS can not be viewed as the total solution to transportation problems.
