A PROBABILISTIC FRAMEWORK FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY ANALYSIS
In this paper, the authors model the uncertainty in car movements on a highway. The probability of collision of two adjacent cars within a fixed horizon is calculated and analyzed. Additionally, the probability of collision in the presence of emergency braking is modelled.
