IMPLEMENTATION OF PMS FOR THE AUSTRIAN FEDERAL ROAD NETWORK
Increased road deterioration in Austria combined with the demand for a fair distribution of available budgets have urged the Austrain Federal Road Administration to take the necessary steps for the implementation of a nationwide PMS. Througout the last few years a number of investigations have paved the way to this project. The presented article is dealing mainly with the following iterms: (1) presentation of the structure of the Austrian road network, (2) investigations conducted on the subject of PMS, (3) evaluation of condition data of the Austrian federal road network, (4) discussion of the prioritization (ranking) model currently used, (5) research work on the development of performance curves and transition probability matrices for optimization models, (A) For the covering abstract see ITRD E105786.
