STATISTICAL APPROACH TO ASPHALT QUALITY CONTROL - ANALYSIS OF LABORATORY TEST DATA ON SAMPLES TAKEN ON THE ZAGREB - KARLOVAC HIGHWAY

STATISTICKI PRISTUP KONTROLI KVALITETE ASFALTA NA PRIMJERU ANALYZE REZULTATA LABORATORIJSKIH ISPITIVANJA S AUTOCESTE ZAGREB-KARLOVAC

The need for a statistical approach to asphalt quality control is stressed. The most important asphalt properties were evaluated on the basis of statistical analysis, which covered about 12000 data items obtained by testing about 650 samples from the Zagreb - Karlovac highway. On the basis of the results of the analysis, suggestions, are made for the statistical evaluation of asphalt quality in new projects, and for possible amendments of actual engineering requirements. /Author/TRRL/
