SOCIOECONOMIC AND TRAVEL CHARACTERISTICS OF CHICAGO
This paper discusses the socioeconomic, land use, and travel patterns of the Chicago (Illinois) area as they relate to the provision and use of public transportation. The aim of the paper is to explain the type and extent of the success of public transportation service throughout the area in relation to the differing socioeconomic and land use conditions present.
