THE COMMERCIAL VEHICLE: SOME PROBLEM AREAS IN FUTURE LEGISLATION
In considering the problems of future legislation, the author puts forward his personal views concerned mainly with safety on the road where he feels current legislation is inadequate. The aspects briefly covered include the control of spray necessitated by increases in speed, reduction of aggressivity of heavy goods vehicles and the protection of occupants in particular by the use of seat belts. The subject of tyres, the security of loads and the problems they pose are discussed. /TRRL/
