DISPOSING OF WASTE MATERIALS
This article discusses the disposal of waste materials and solvents by pavement marking contractors in order to remain in compliance with federal waste management regulations. Topics discussed include the criteria used to determine what pavement marking materials qualify as hazardous waste, how the quantity of hazardous materials produced each month affect disposal requirements, the management of waste materials while on site, selecting disposal facilities, the mixing of hazardous waste materials, and those regulations that apply to residues of hazardous waste materials in empty containers.
