The premise of Canadian National Railway's (CN) e-business plan follows the logic that it is impossible to motivate customers to do business electronically unless you can prove that you can deliver the goods. This article discusses how better service and practical approach are providing CN an e-world foothold. The CN's e-business plan focuses on developing three major e-business initiatives which will be delivered in phases later this year: e-billing; car tracing and tracking; and sales force automation.
